Supporting Students at Chattanooga Christian School

Since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the onsite Mental Health Counselor at Chattanooga Christian School, walking alongside students from Pre-K through high school as they navigate the challenges and milestones of growing up.

School is where children spend much of their lives, making it one of the most meaningful places to provide support. Being onsite allows me to meet students in real time, collaborate closely with teachers and administrators, and partner with families to help students succeed both academically and emotionally.

My role extends far beyond traditional counseling. I provide solution-focused, short-term mental health counseling, conduct school safety and risk assessments when concerns arise, consult with faculty and parents, coordinate with outside providers, and help develop practical plans that support students both in and out of the classroom. Depending on each family’s needs, counseling may take place on campus or continue at Watershed Counseling offsite location for ongoing care.

Every student has a unique story. Sometimes they need help managing anxiety, navigating friendships, adjusting to life changes, building emotional regulation skills, or simply having a trusted adult to walk beside them through a difficult season.

My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based support that helps students develop resilience, strengthen relationships, and grow into the people God created them to be. When schools, families, and mental health professionals work together, students are given the best opportunity to flourish.

It is a privilege to serve the Chattanooga Christian community and to invest in the emotional well-being of the students and families entrusted to my care.
