Over the past 16 years, I have worked with a variety of challenges ages 5 to 75. With a double Masters degree in School Counseling and Mental Health, I have a unique training background. Skilled in relationship counseling that reaches family, school and personal issues, I would like the opportunity to talk with you more about how my training and experience can assist you or your family.
I am grateful for the opportunity to work with many Chattanooga Schools! We began assisting on campus with Chattanooga Christian School in 2020. For the 2026 school year I have office hours on campus for CCS students! Due to high demand all requests for services on campus must be emailed to Katie Burns at this time. CCS school safety checks will be completed out of the office and will receive a high priority of services from Katie Burns or a team member.
If you are interested in learning more about school support or preferred referral program for your school – please reach out!

My dog friends Wiggles and Angel like to “help the people.” If you have an allergy or are not comfortable with dogs please let me know! Wiggle Wishes is a trained Therapy Dog and received her Good Citizen Designation by the AKC in 2022. Wildrose Angel is a Certified Companion Service Dog. You may see one or both in my office!
Local 3 news Mental Health Contributor, past host of a local TV show, Live Well, where I promoted mental and physical health in my rural community. I worked for 5 years as a Health Behaviorist at Erlanger’s Chattanooga Lifestyle Center, two years in Crossville at Christian Counseling Center and counseled college students, athletes and coaches at a University in Nashville.
Personally, I was born a horse girl, married a cattle farmer ( www.burnsfarms.com ) had a wild child, and got some herding pups. I advocate for others to Live Well despite circumstances.
I look forward to meeting you!
