Pastoral Counselor

Since 1986 I have worked with people to find freedom from addictions, unhealthy relationship patterns, difficult emotions and general “stuckness” in life. I love introducing people to Gospel freedom and hope. My background in substance abuse counseling included a strong emphasis with family systems. My work as a pastor gave me an opportunity to take an understanding of systems and brokenness and apply it to marriages and families. Working for a decade in a school deepened my experience with crisis intervention, grief, trauma, and the wonderful ways connecting with creation can be part of God’s healing grace in our lives.

There is hope even in great pain and darkness. You are not alone. I would be honored to meet you, hear your story and partner with you to seek healing, restoration and freedom. I am experienced with youth, adults, couples and families. Your past speaks to your present but it doesn’t have to define your life.

I do not diagnose or treat mental illness, though some of the things I offer might be very helpful adjunctive care for many issues. I offer guidance, coaching, pastoral counseling and spiritual direction.
